Frampton just about ready to resume full training

CARL Frampton is on the verge of a return to full training and could be back punching in two weeks time.

The IBF super bantamweight champion of the World injured both hands when dethroning teak tough Kiko Martinez at the Titanic Quarter on September 6.

However, speaking to the Belfast Newsletter ‘The Jackal’, who looks likely to make his first defence early next year, confirmed he is well advanced on the road to recovery.

“I have been to see the doctor and he says the hands are doing well and I should be back punching in a couple of weeks.

“That is great news and I have been training away anyway keeping myself in good shape because I know I am now entering a vital part of my career.

“The fight against Martinez was a tough one, but thankfully the hands are coming along well,” he added.
