Frampton is hiding and will go running once I demolish Martinez says Quigg
CARL Frampton is hiding from Scott Quigg and will become impossible to find once the Bury man demolishes Kiko Martinez in Manchester on July 18 claims Quigg himself.
Quigg, a fighter usually criticised for being over protected takes a big risk fighting the big punching Spaniard with plenty of Irish previous on Sky Sports, but is confident of victory and claims he will leave Frampton more frightened of a domestic dust up.
IBF world champion Frampton has been backed by most to beat Quigg and has predicted a knock out victory if the pair trade leather. July 18 was the date penciled in for a potential clash between duo but talks broke down and Quigg has elected to fight the man that knocked Bernard Dunne out in a round and Frampton beat to claim the European and World titles.
Come through against the former World champ and four time European champ, Martinez and the Frampton Quigg fight will be bigger, but Quigg has goaded ‘The Jackal’ stating he doesn’t want the fight.
Frampton has stated the opposite on numerous occasions and revealed a 60/40 profit split in his favour would have seen the bout made.
However, speaking at yesterday’s press conference to announce the Martinez bout Quigg took his oppurtuinty to throw a few verbal blows the way of the Belfast World champ.
He said: “He’s gone hiding from a cheque of £1.5m so, when he sees the performance I put in to demolish Kiko, I think he will be further under that rock. There can’t be any excuses. The Frampton team got everything they wanted with their stupid demands but then turned down £1.5m.

“If someone offered me that amount to fight in Belfast, I would swim there – that’s how confident I am of beating him.
“It’s the fight the British public want to see. It’s a massive fight and everyone wants it. But I can’t make him get into the ring I would have the fight he doesn’t want to.
“The people who are stopping him are his team.”
