Frampton is infuriated a-la Carl Froch says Hearn

Carl Frampton isn’t clapping because he’s not happy and Team Quigg know it according to Eddie Hearn.

The Matchroom boss, who co-promotes the massive February 27th Frampton versus Quigg card alongside Cyclone Promotions, says he can see that the Belfast fighter, who is renowned on these shores for being down to earth and humble, thinks he is above rival Scott Quigg.

Indeed he suggests that he senses a similar air of superiority that made Carl Froch begrudge George Groves the limelight and opportunity in their first outing.

It’s most likely another ploy from Hearn to get under ‘The Jackal’s’ skin. Frampton has been calling for the Quigg fight for years and seems to be relishing the chance to show he is the better of the two. Also he is getting a career-best pay day for a fight he is confident he can win easy if he produces his best.

However, Hearn claims the IBF champ goes into the fight ‘infuriated’  while WBA title holder Quigg and his team couldn’t be happier.

“Everything that I saw on the gloves are off tells me Carl Frampton doesn’t want to be around Scott Quigg. Carl Frampton believes he is a superstar, a celebrity, and Scott Quigg is down there.”

“It’s exactly like Froch/Groves I. Frampton doesn’t feel Quigg is on his level. He is infuriated. They were not happy with the edit on Sky, they are not happy with anything.

“We’re very happy. Scott Quigg is ready to go and will do the business on February 27th.”
