Frampton and Lee to fight for World titles on Massive American Card?

American based news sources are breaking news of a potentially massive night of boxing for Ireland.

According to reports Stateside both Carl Frampton and Andy Lee will challenge for World titles in New York this Summer.

Ireland’s first ever unified World champion looks like he will finally get his gloved hands on Leo Santa Cruz.

The IBF super bantamweight champion of the World  looks set to move up to featherweight to challenge WBA title holder Leo Santa Cruz.

It’s a bout that has been muted more than once since ‘The Jackal’ defeated Scott Quigg in a massive pay per view bout back in February and according to report it looks like a deal has finally been struck between two fighters advised by Al Haymon.

On the same night and indeed card Andy Lee is said to be challenging Danny Jacobs for his WBA middleweight title.

The former WBO champion of the World has been linked with the American whose last clash was an impressive blow out Peter Quillin, a fighter Lee drew with before losing his title in December to Billy Joe Saunders.

The Irish world title double header will be a PBC card and thus will be broadcast on terrestrial TV in America, meaning the pair have a massive opportunity to claim more World honours in front of a massive audience.
