Fourth undercard fighter announced for Frampton-Gutierrez
A fourth fighter has been confirmed for the big Carl Frampton homecoming card in Belfast next month.
‘The Jackal’ returns to his home city after two and a half years on the road and will face Mexican Andres Gutierrez in a WBC featherweight title eliminator at the SSE Odyssey Arena in Belfast.
This evening another local talent was confirmed for the undercard, with St James’s super middleweight Padraig McCrory [1(0)-0] being announced for the bill.
The Kieran Farrell-managed fighter debuted earlier this month at the same venue, dominating Jacob Lucas in a four rounder on the Burnett-Haskins world title undercard.
The Ray Ginley-trained pro brought a large crowd with him that night and certainly caught the attention, and is now rewarded with another big fight date.
McCrory joins Chantelle Cameron, Steven Ward, and the WBO European title fight between Conrad Cummings and Robert Swierzbinski on the undercard, with plenty more to be announced in the coming days and weeks.
An opponent for McCrory will be announced shortly.
