Former Anthony Fitzgerald defeater next for Luke Keeler
Luke Keeler will fight the puncher that shocked Anthony Fitzgerald in ‘The Pride’s’ last ever fight when he goes to work in England next month.
Journeyman Adam Jones outpointed recently retired ‘Fitzy’ last September in Birmingham and will be looking to upset another Dub in the same city on March 5th.
The fight, which plays out on the Sky Sports-broadcast Sam Eggington v Bradley Skeete undercard, gives the ambitious 160 bs prospect the chance to make a statement.
Not only does the 23 year old hold a win over former Irish champion Fitzgerald, he has brought a number of prospects the distance. Jones has never been stopped and has lasted rounds with Lewis Taylor, Gary Corcran, Rick Godding and most recently, and most impressively, John Ryder.
Keeler will be targeting just the win first and foremost, but a stoppage victory would be a statement of sorts and set him up for a potential title fight in Belfast on April 30.
