Follow the World Championships live online
Baku, Azerbaijan, 22 September 2011 – The International Boxing Association is proud to announce that the 2011 AIBA World Championships will be streamed live on www.AIBAboxingTV.com.
The 2011 edition of the AIBA World Championships will take place in the Capital city of Azerbaijan, Baku, from 26 September to 8 October and will showcase the best of Olympic Boxing. With around 680 boxers coming from over 120 countries, the Championships will mark a new record of participants. It will also be the main Olympic Qualifying Event for the London 2012 Olympic Games for which a total of 92 boxers will qualify.
From the first day of the competition to the end of the preliminaries, you will be able to follow all bouts through our live scoring system on www.aiba.org. From the Round of 16 and until the Finals, every boxing fan around the world (*) will be able to enjoy watching all matches live on www.AIBAboxingTV.com and on Youtube at www.youtube.com/aibaboxingtv.
With the help of Total Sports Asia (TSA), media partner of the World Series of Boxing SA, a property of AIBA, the International Boxing Association has become one of the first International Olympic Sports Federation which has made their competitions available Live on Youtube worldwide.
It is a great pleasure for AIBA to get this rare opportunity to share the sport of boxing with everyone, everywhere and in every social level.
