Anthony Fitzgerald will continue his light middleweight voyage in Birmingham on September 12.

‘The Pride’ has dropped in weight since losing to Gary ‘Spike’ O’Sullivan and is hoping to secure another big fight at the lighter weight.

The Dubliner has beaten John Brennan and Kieran Grey since that November knock out reverse and has been targeting a clash with Brian Rose, but Rose looks set for a move to middleweight.

Competing on a small hall show in the Holte Suite and Villa Park suggests third successive journey man for Fitzgerald and he may have to wait until one of the MGM Dublin shows before he gets the chance to take a scalp.

Fellow inner city ticket seller Craig O’Brien will also appear on the September 12 show meaning the Holte Suite could witness a brilliant atmosphere.
