‘Firecracker’ Dylan McDonagh set for Scottish return
Dylan McDonagh [3(1)-3(0)] returns to Scotland to fight next month.
The Jobstown fighter will appear on Matty McCallister Promotion’s ‘Homecoming’ card on September 20.
No opponent has been confirmed for the Jonathan Lewin’s trained fighter as of yet, but ‘The Firecracker’ will fight alongside recent foe Billy Stuart at Eglin Town Hall.
The recent Irish and BUI Celtic title challenger will be looking for his first win in three fights and first victory since July of 2018 on the Scottish show.
After pushing his way to 3-0 the 34-year-old began to take some early risks.
The Tallaght fighter took on Matchroom prospect Sean McGoldrick live on Sky Sports and suffered defeat despite an impressive display.
The flyweight remained at bantamweight for a big all Tallaght affair, but came out second best against neighbour Carl McDonald on the top of a Celtic Clash card.
McDonagh didn’t look for a rebuild fight and to his credit went straight back into title action, once again up at bantamweight, traveling to Scotland to face Stuart. The Tallaght fighter was again out pointed in a competitive fight.
The Dubliner now returns to Scotland and will be looking to secure a win on the road.
