Final additions made to first ‘It’s A Bout Boxing Ireland’ card

Three Dublin fighters have been added to the upcoming inaugural ‘It’s A Bout Boxing Ireland’ card.

‘Táimid Laochra’ takes place on Saturday April 1st at the National Stadium in Dublin and three local boxers have been added to round out the bill.

Jobstown super bantamweight Carl McDonald [1(0)-0] will make his Dublin debut on the bill. The former Intermediate champion scored a win over awkward Pole Kamil Jaworek back in October in Belfast on a Mark Dunlop dinner show at the Europa Hotel.

Kilbarrack light flyweight Lynn Harvey [2(2)-1(0)] will also make a return to the National Stadium. The Northside knockout artist first however must deal will the challenge of Sara Regina Coca this Saturday on the Red Corner Promotions ‘Unfinished Business’ card at the same venue.

Loughlinstown welter Jay Byrne [3(1)-0] rounds out the new additions to the show. The 30 year old fighter also features on ‘Unfinished Business’ this weekend where he takes on Sergio Abad.

All three are trained by N7 Boxing Academy duo Eddie Hyland and Tommy McCormack, and the fight night will provide television debuts for all as it will be shown live on Sky Channel 212.

Opponents for the trio, and for the other nine fighters on the bill, will be announced in the near future.

Also featuring on the bill in five weeks time will be Christina McMahon, Gerard Whitehouse, Jake Hanney and Rohan Date, alongside no less than five professional debutants – Reagan Buckley, Barry Barnes, Keane McMahon, John Joyce, and Dylan McDonagh.

Tickets for Táimid Laochra cost €45 (gallery) and €65 (ringside) and are available HERE or from the boxers involved (which would be the avenue we recommend).
