Feargal McCrory opponent secures Joshua-Klitschko Wembley undercard fight
Feargal McCrory‘s opponent this Saturday is in line to go from The Devenish Complex in Belfast to Wembley Stadium in the space of a week.
Coalisland super feather McCrory [4(1)-0] boxes over eight against Liverpudlian Jay ‘Bam Bam’ Carney [5(3)-1(0)-2] on the inaugural Kieran Farrell Promotions Belfast show, and his all-action opponent has today had a big date added to his schedule.
Carney has been picked to box Rio Olympian Joe Cordina on the Anthony Joshua v Wladimir Klitschko undercard at Wembley Stadium, live on Sky Box Office, on Saturday April 29th.
‘The Scouse Marcos Maidana’ impressed the Matchroom team back in February in Hull when he defeated local favourite Carl Chadwick on a Sky show, and he has now been brought back to provide Cordina with a game foe.
However, this clash is dependent on Carney – win, lose, or draw – coming through the McCrory bout unscathed, and indeed the Welsh amateur star successfully navigating his debut this coming Saturday in Liverpool.
McCrory v Carney tops the bill this Saturday with Mike Perez, Sean McGlinchey, Sean Higginson, Sean Magee, Mark Morris, Mathew Fitzsimons, Gerard Healy, and Ronnie Clark all also featuring.
Tickets are available from the boxers involved at the following prices:
£20 (standing)
£35 (unreserved seating)
£50 (ringside)
