Eubank Jr – ‘Spike is nothing but a Twitter terrorist’

With his grudge match signed, sealed, and to be delivered next month, Gary Spike O’Sullivan’s famous trash-talk took somewhat of a backseat today at his first official press conference with long-time rival Chris Eubank Jr.

Call Eubank Jr spooked, confused, frustrated, or whatever you want, but the Brighton boxer challenged the Irishman on his unexpected quietness.

The Matchroom fighter noted that “it’s a shame because online, on Twitter, for the last few years you’ve been so vocal.”

“You’ve been saying all these disrespectful, dark, things to try get under my skin, but now on the big stage all you can say is ‘I’m going to knock him out'”

“Now you’re Mr. Nice Guy, what happened to all the disgusting things you’ve been saying over the years.”

Unhappy, Eubank labeled the Cork boxer a “keyboard warrior, a Twitter terrorist, but when he actually gets to the big stage he hasn’t got much to say for himself.”

“He has dug himself a very very big hole which he will not come out of.”

In response, O’Sullivan reasoned that “I got the fight, I’m happy, there’s no need for that stuff now, the talk is over.”

The pair finally meet in the ring on December 12th at the O2 Arena in London.
