Ireland’s only dedicated boxing radio show, Irish Boxing Radio returns and fittingly in what is an action packed month for domestic boxing we bring you an incident filled show.
On March’s episode we have the last man to face Matthew Macklin’s next foe, Sergio Martinez, Darren Barker. The English fighter tells us how he thinks the former Tipperary underage hurler has to fight if he is to stand a chance against the middleweight ring King in Madision Square Garden on St Patricks Day.

The former middleweight champion of Europe also pledged his support to his domestic rival in hopes a Macklin win will lead to a major Macklin Barker clash.

It was once again ‘a cracker’ from Martin Rogan. The big heavyweight followed up his brilliantly surreal press conference performance with another entertaining out of ring display.

Big Rogie’ talks all things Fury and predicts a knock out victory for the Iron Man on April 14.

Not far behind on the comedy front is Dean Byrne. The Dubliner talked to us before his bout next weekend was cancelled and despite being his jovial self got serious when discussing his first lose, his reputation as a sparring partner and his link to the Wild Card Gym.

Not so upbeat was Pascal Collins. The Celtic Gym boss vented his frustration at the Paul Abbleby Stephen Ormond decision. Collins, who also trains Ian Tims and Spike O’Sullivan, claims the referee was the worst he has ever seen in boxing and believes The Rock won the bout by a clear margin.

Prizefighter’s Joe Rea also made an appearance on yet another quality show. The Belfast middleweight signaled his Prizefigher intentions and claims people will see a new improved, fully prepared and fully focused Rea.
