Edwards v Bayaar in Belfast

17 November 2010

Paul Edwards is spending several hours every day watching videos of big fight rival Shinny Bayaar.

The popular scouser challenges for the Oldham based Mongolians British flyweight title at Kings Hall, Belfast on Wednesday December 15.

Edwards (7-0) has little experience at top level, but believes he can spring an upset against battle hardened Bayaar (15-4-2).

He is taking encouragement from Bayaars last fight when he was held to a draw by another youngster, Ashley Sexton. Edwards, 24, said: I have been watching that fight every day, and that is all I am watching until the fight.

I know it is going to be a hard fight because he is a good champion, but now is time for him to give up that belt. I have got to start quickly and put it on him from the very start and I will do because this is a British title fight the biggest of my career so far.
