Easy win as Hardwick roles over Bolar
June 20 Jonny Stapleton
Dublin heavyweight Thomas Hardwick bowled over Rodell Bolar at Resorts Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey last Saturday night.
The first Irish born fighter to win a Golden Gloves tournament registered just his second pro victory via a second successive stoppage.
Hardwick, who was supported by a substantial Irish crowd, took just three round to see of his latest victim.
The big Yonkers based fighter ensured Bolar was flirting with the canvas as early as the first round after an impressive four punch furore. Indeed Hardwick visited the floor himself in the opening stanza, but the referee deemed a slip and not a punch prompted his fall.
The 26 year old literally boxed the wind of his opponents sales in the second round as he went down stairs in very impressive fashion.
A show stopping right finally brought an end to the fight with 1:39 of the third round gone as the Irish man continued his destructive start to pro life.
