Dylan Moran claims bloody win in London
Dylan Moran got his 2019 off to a victorious start last night in London.
The Waterford welter was in action at the famous York Hall where he scored a rather dominant win.
Moran took on Nicaraguan Oscar Amador [10(1)-12(5)] over four rounds at the iconic Bethnal Green venue and posted a points win.
The Kilmacthomas 24-year-old tore into his Barcelona-based opponent from the opening bell, landing big uppercuts.
Amador, however, was especially game and managed to hang in and improve as the fight went on, clipping Moran on a few occasions – while a coming together of heads led to a cut on the Déise fighter’s right brow.
It was, though, largely one-way traffic, with the physically-stronger Irish southpaw taking a well-deserved 40-36 win on the scorecard.

The win sees Moran improve his record to 9(5)-0 and he will, cut permitting, look to be out again soon as he builds toward a Waterford homecoming in September.
