Dream start for McCullagh on Nightmare at Ellesmere fight night
Tyrone McCullagh made a dream start to pro life on the Nightmare at Ellesmere Card on Saturday night.
The 24 year old former amateur of note delivered on his promise to be more exciting when he turned over and registered a stoppage.
The super featherweight prospect stopped Tamas Laska (2-4) in the second round of his first paid outing.
The first Derry City puncher since John Duddy to fight as a pro was out of the blocks fast, but was more selective with his shots in the second stanza.
He picked a lovely left hook to the body, which Laska’s couldn’t recover from meaning ‘White Chocolate’ claimed a stoppage win first time out.
