Date and venue confirmed for first European Olympic Qualifiers

The first European AIBA Open Boxing (AOB) Olympic qualifier will now be held in Samsun, Turkey from April 7th to 18th.

The tournament from men and women was originally slated for Istanbul, Turkey from April 20th to May 1st.

The AIBA Executive Committee approved the change of date and host city.

The Irish Amateur Boxing Association will ratify their squad for Turkey in due course. A number of training camps and tournaments have been pencilled in the build up to the first big outing of 2016 for Irish boxing.
