Jono ‘King Kong’ Carroll will have to be at the top of his game for his short-notice fight on the Tyson Fury-Wladimir Klitschko undercard tomorrow in Duesseldorf.
The Dublin super featherweight faces Honduran knock-out artist Miguel Gonzalez [13(11)-3(2)] at the ESPRIT Arena.
The Prizefighter winner will be stepping up to eight rounds for the first time for the bout with the 29 year old Central American. The increase in rounds now makes the Finglas-Dunshaughlin 23 year old eligible for titles.
Carroll’s bout will feature on the Sky Box Office broadcast of the massive heavyweight clash tomorrow night in Germany.
