Cummings ready to emulate stable mate Frampton’s success
Conrad Cummings has a front row seat to the tail end of Carl Frampton’s journey to the top.
The Tyrone middleweight was one of Cyclone Promotions first signings and he has been there to witness ‘The Jackal’s’ progression from European to World champ.
Cummings hasn’t just appeared on the same cards as Ireland’s first unified World champ, but has trained alongside and even lived with him in London camps.
Dynamite has seen first hand the effort the Belfast fighter, who bids to become unified champion of the World puts in, and has been inspired in the process.
The undefeated CoalIsland fighter, who fights Frankie Borg in Wales this weekend, is now confident if he emulates Frampton’s work ethic he can himself become World champ one day.
“I have a good friendship with Carl, he’s at the absolute pinnacle of his career at the moment, he unified the world title, he has the best fan base in the UK and Ireland and he doesn’t believe any of his own hype,” he told the Belfast Newsletter.
“He’s one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet, a gentleman.
“And Carl put the work in to achieve his dreams, there’s no reason why I can’t do the same and win a world title,” he added.
