Cummings looking forward to Odyssey adventure
AFTER making an impressive start to pro life in London last week, Cyclone Promotions middleweight Conrad Cummings is ready to make an impression on Belfast fight fans on April 4.
The Shane McGuigan trained former WSB fighter makes his home debut on the undercard of stable mate Carl Frampton’s WBC final eliminator in the Odyssey Arena and is looking forward to the homecoming.
Cummings, who stated a desire to be busy this year, was also content with how he performed in his 39-36 win over tough journey man Andrejs Loginovs.
Speaking to the boxing friendly Belfast Newsletter Cummings said,
“It was good to get the win and I it is good to get my professional career up and running. He was a tough boy and it was good to get the four rounds under my belt. I enjoyed it and now I will spend a couple of days at home and then back to the gym and start training for the Odyssey bill
“Now that I have got that fight out of the way I can now look forward to the Odyssey.
“I want to be really busy this year, keep on winning and keeping training and working hard. I could have stayed as an amateur and held on for the Commonwealth Games, but I didn’t want to hang about and I want to blast a trail as a professional.”
