Could we see Frampton vs Quigg in Belfast ?

‘The Jackal Army’ and indeed Carl Frampton himself will argue it will be the last thing Scott Quigg will want when he wakes up on the morning of Sunday February 28, but according to reports there is a rematch clause in the Frampton Quigg contract.

The super bantamweight rivals finally agreed to terms last week and will trade leather in Manchester on February 27 much to the delight of fight fans across Ireland and Britain-and if the the bout is entertaining and in anyway close it seems we could get a repeat.

Reports in England suggest a rematch clause has been instilled into the contract with a Summer date in Belfast ear marked for any potential return.

Matchroom boss and Quigg promoter Eddie Hearn was always keen on a rematch and it was one of a number of blocks that saw negotiations stumble earlier this year.

Team Frampton were keen to get Quigg, deal with mandatory Shingo Wake possibly in Belfast before returning to America to fight the likes of Leo Santa Cruz or Abner Mares.
