Conrad Cummings eyes British title fight next
Chris Eubank Jr has withdrawn from his British middleweight title defence against Commonwealth belt-holder Tommy Langford on October 22nd.
Not only has the divisive Brighton boxer withdrawn from the Cardiff clash, he has also relinquished his Lonsdale belt.
With Eubank now out of the picture, Tyrone middleweight Conrad Cummings [10(4)-0-1] has put his name forward as a potential replacement for the bout at the Motorpoint Arena in five weeks time.
The Coalisland fighter tweeted:
Eubank Jnr pulls out of Langford fight and vacates British title. #ThingsJustGotInteresting 👊🏻

With many of the other top names in the domestic division already having fights scheduled, a step up for Cummings is not beyond the realms of possibility.
Another, perhaps more likely, possibility is that one of Anthony Ogogo and Elliot Matthews, who are due to box in a British title eliminator, step in for Eubank while the other is given a shot at the winner.
In his only other title scrap, Cummings fought to a ten-round draw with Belfast’s Alfredo Meli last November for the Celtic title.
In his last contest, Dynamite was involved in an exciting brawl with Dante Moore on the Santa Cruz-Frampton undercard in New York.
