Mick Conlan’s Pac Man opponent confirmed
Michael Conlan looks to be making a step up in his next fight.
Rumoured for a long time, it has been confirmed that the Belfast super bantam will take on recent Australian title challenger Jarrett Owen when he heads Down Under.
The Top Rank talent’s third fight will take place on the Manny Pacquiao v Jeff Horn undercard at the SunCorp Stadium in Brisbane, Australia on July 2nd.
Irish-Boxing.com also believes the clash some expected to be down the undercard will in fact be chief support to the WBO welterweight title clash.
31 year old Owen has a winning 5(2)-4(3)-3 record and comes into the bout on the back of an Australian title challenge.
The Brisbane puncher drew with Emanuel Micallef, a fighter he beat for the Queensland title the bout previous, in the Aussie title fight back in March.
Conlan will be expected to handle ‘Juarez’ with relative ease and may target another stoppage against a fighter, who has been stopped three times.
