Conlan signs with MGM and reveals new trainer
UNDEFEATED World title hopeful Jamie Conlan has joined the growing stable of Irish fighters in the MGM.
The former John Breen trained super flyweight is the current WBO Inter-continental and European Super flyweight champion and is perfectly positioned to mount a World title bid in 2015.
The Mexican has been training at MGM regularly and believes that it is the place to be. “I came to MGM for the world class training facilities along with top class sparring” said Conlan,
“Together with the perfect management team behind me I believe it will give me every opportunity to secure my goal of becoming world champion.”
MGM, which also has Declan Geraghty, Anthony Fitzgerald and David McGuire on it’s books claim next fight is to be confirmed soon, suggesting Conlan has also parted company with CWM Cyclone Promotions.
Conlan will now be trained by Danny Vaughan and the MGM Management Team are delighted to have him on board. They said “We think Jamie will be a world champion in the next 12-18 months. He comes from a proud boxing family and we are looking forward to getting behind him and help him reach his potential.”
