Conlan off Clash of the Clans Card

Jamie Conlan has been forced to remove his name from the exciting Clash of the Clan’s fight roster.

The Belfast super flyweight pulled out of the show scheduled for the National Stadium on February 6 due to injury.

‘The Mexican’, who looks on course for a big Paul Butler clash this Summer, suffered a ‘minor shoulder injury’ in training and as a result withdrew.

The absence of Conlan, who has become something of a Dublin fan favourite of late, is unfortunate, but not catastrophic to a card still has more than enough names to excite local fight fans and indeed the watching Boxnation TV pundits.

Jamie Kavanagh will be fight for a WBO European title against Antonio Joao Bento, World title hopefuls Stephen Ormond and Patrick Hyland still appear, as does exciting prospect Phil Sutcliffe Jr, not to mention stylist Declan Geraghty, Craig O’Brien and Sean Craig.

The “Clash of the Clans” show is in association with Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions and will be shown live on BoxNation. Tickets are now available on Tickets.ie
