It has been a massive year for Mick Conlan.
He qualified for the Olympics after a roller-coaster WSB, he won European gold, and then he became the first Irishman to ever win gold at the World Championships. Not to mention he also became a father and a fiancé.
Unsurprisingly he is being recognised for these achievements, and expect to see him feature in our nominees for Boxer of the Year later this month.
Conlan has also been nominated by Irish men’s website Joe.ie as one of their Sports Stars of the year alongside Conor McGregor, Shane Lowery, AP McCoy, and the Irish Special Olympics team.
