Conlan to fight World #2 on Frampton undercard

JAMIE Conlan is the first undercard fighter to be confirmed on the Carl Frampton versus Chris Avalos World Is Not Enough bill.

The WBO European champion will fight Oriental champ Warlito Parrenas for the WBO International title in the Odyssey Arena on February 28.

‘The Mexican’ was due to compete in a WBO World title eliminator and whilst this clash isn’t a confirmed eliminator victory will further improve the popular fighters ranking and see him move a step closer to a World title shot.

Parrenas, who hails Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, Philippines, is ranked No 2 in the WBO rankings three places in above Conlan.

The 31 year old comes to Belfast boast 20 knockouts from 23 wins, but has tasted defeat six times.
