Confirmed: Jimmy Kilrain Kelly to fight for World Title on Andy Lee undercard

As rumoured on Monday, Jimmy Kilrain Kelly [16(7)-0] will challenge for Liam Smith’s WBO light middleweight title on the Andy Lee-headlined Xmas Cracker bill at the Manchester Arena.

The local lad recently won the WBO Inter Continental title at the same venue, and will now challenge for World honours on December 19th.

Manchester United supporter Kelly, who has Irish parentage, will be aiming for bragging rights over Scouser Smith. Only 23 years old, Kelly will be a massive underdog next month against the MGM fighter in what will be his first twelve rounder.
