Commonwealth title fight for Marco McCullough?
Speculation is rife Belfast’s Marco McCullough will fight for the Commonwealth title on the massive Frampton verus Quigg card in February.
Head of Sky Sports Boxing Adam Smith has confirmed Wesgate Warrior Isaac Lowe will challenge for the strap on the massive PPV fight night.
The news 21 year old Lowe, who has a record of 10-0-1, will fight in Manceshter on the eagerly anticipated fight night has most assuming McCullough will fight the English fighter for the vacant strap.
Josh Warrington is the current custodian of the title, but Matchroom boss Eddie Hearn has already confirmed the World title hopeful will not appear on the card and it’s safe to say the European champion wouldn’t have a prospect like Lowe on his radar.
So again it’s safe to assume Lowe will be fighting for the vacant strap and with the John Breen trained former Irish champion already confirmed as one of Cyclone’s four undercard fighters it is easy to predict he will be in the opposite corner come title fight time.
Super featherweight prospect Anthony Cacace is also said to be on the card and it will be interesting to see if the BBBofC Celtic Champion can also secure a title shot.
