Cinderella Man Peter McDonagh wins again
Peter McDonagh continued his boxing Cinderella story tonight in London.
The Galway veteran stretched his unbeaten run to nine fights with a good win over Arvydas Trizno at the Wembley Arena.
The popular MGM fighter boxed well against his Lithuanian opponent and took the six-round bout on the referee’s scorecard (60-55).
The three-weight Irish champion improved his record to 26(3)-28(2)-1, whilst Trizno fell to 22(5)-52(8)-2.
38 year old McDonagh will now continue his search for a European title fight in the near future as his remarkable resurgence in the sport continues.
