Celtic Title shot for Matthew Wilton next month

Belfast welterweight Matthew Wilton will fight for the first title of his professional career after being added to the upcoming Cyclone Promotions show in Edinburgh.

25 year old Wilton [11(3)-0] will face unbeaten Scot Matty ‘The Hawk’ McAllister [10(2)-0] for the BBBoC Celtic in a ‘somebody’s 0 has got to go’ clash at the Meadowbank Arena on Friday October 16th.

26 year old McAllistair hails from Aberdeen, and will be, by far, the toughest test of WIlton’s career thus far. Wilton, who was out of the ring for a year, returned last weekend at the York Hall where he shook off the rust and comfortably outpointed Lee Griffiths.

Next month’s card, titled ‘LIFTOFF,’ will also see:
– Belfast super featheweight Anto Cacace face Ronnie Clark for the Celtic Title.
– The return of Belfast featherweight Marco McCullough after his recent knockout loss.
– The professional homecoming of Scottish Olympian Josh Taylor.
– The continued progression of Cyclone prospect Josh Pritchard.
