Celtic Clash 9 Chief Support Confirmed
The first of what looks set to be many all-Irish fights has been confirmed for the big ‘Celtic Clash 9’ bill in Belfast this Autumn.
Irish-Boxing.com can announce that the chief support on the Boxing Ireland Promotions bill will be a clash between St James’s lightweight Stephen Webb [1(0)-1(1)] and Crumlin’s Martin Quinn [3(1)-1(0)].
The pair will do battle over six rounds on the Saturday October 12th card at the Devenish Venue on the Finaghy Road.
Webb was involved in the headline bout of the last Celtic Clash card in May where he jumped up in level and was stopped by Divis rival Joe Fitzpatrick in the second round.
Fitzpatrick will again top the card at the Devenish on October 12th, facing Iago Barros for the vacant BUI Celtic lightweight title, while Webb goes straight back into an all-Irish fight.
For Quinn, it is his third such fight in a row following a pair of debated fights with Karl Kelly and Francy Luzoho from which he emerged with a loss and a win respectively.
Further all-Irish fights as well as undercard bouts will be confirmed in the coming days.
