Celtic Clash 3 details announced
There was a 58 month gap between ‘Celtic Clash’ and ‘Celtic Clash 2,’ but there won’t be much of a wait for the third installment.
Within a week of the mammoth 15 fight card, Boxing Ireland Promotions and Tony Davitt have revealed they will promote another event as early as Saturday September 9th.
‘Celtic Clash 3: Building Champions’ will take place at the National Stadium and will feature many of the fighters that fought last Saturday.
So far confirmed for the bill are Eric Donovan, Gerard Whitehouse, Aiden Metcalfe, and Stephen Carroll, with a similarly large bill expected in three months time.
Irish-Boxing.com believes the promoters are looking to make some title fights as well as some domestic dust-ups.
A statement sent to Irish-Boxing.com from the promoters revealed more details.
“We are delighted to announce Celtic Clash 3 which will take place in the National Stadium on Saturday 9th of September.
Looking to build on our success with CC2, this show will feature among others Eric Donovan, Stephen Carroll, Crank Whitehouse and the debut of Aiden Metcalfe, with a number of other exciting additions to be added over the coming weeks.
Tony Davitt Promotions and Boxing Ireland Promotions are continuing to develop a strong partnership, aiming to revive professional boxing in the South of Ireland and offer many of our talented fighters the opportunity to progress their career.”
In addition to this, preliminary details of ‘Celtic Clash 4’ were hinted, with a collaboration with Kieran Farrell in Belfast believed to be on the cards.
