Cathy McAleer returns in CAR PARK straightener

Cathy McAleer [4(1)-0] is literally set for for a straightener in a car park!

The Belfast fighter has secured a slot on a very unique card and will populate a drive in show set for the Sheffield Arena next month.

The Kellie Maloney managed bantamweight fights for the fifth time as a pro boxer on the undercard of a fantastic all-Sheffield headliner that will see Tommy Frank and Kyle Yousaf contest the vacant British Flyweight Title.

As well as playing out in front of a packed car park the show will also be aired on Eurosport, giving the 42-year-old former Kickboxing and MMA star the chance to increase her profile at a critical time.

The unique setting and the press that will come with that are all big for McAleer, but most importantly she gets the chance to get another fight in during troubled times.

The popular former Co Down footballer last fought in February and had what looked likely to be a busy year ruined by the pandemic.

A win on November 20 will ensure she takes another step toward a big fight and her ultimate goal of becoming world champion.

McAleer is currently in England having decided to start her camp with a week at John Edwards gym, which provides the opportunity for good female sparring.
