Carroll to fight on Quigg Martinez undercard

IRISH fight fans will have more reason to take in the Manchester July 18 show than to see how Carl Frampton’s rival Scott Quigg fairs against former ‘Jackal’ foe Kiko Martinez after Jono Carroll has been added to the card.

The Matchroom fighter will face a yet to be confirmed opponent on the SKY Sports broadcast fight card.

The bout will be ‘King Kong’s’ second since winning Prizefighter and securing a contract with Eddie Hearn’s promotional team.

The Celtic Warrior Gym fighter will be looking to push his record to 8-0 and further grab the attention of the TV audience.

The 23 year old’s southpaw’s stable mate Luke Keeler also looks set to appear on a Matchroom card next and is penciled in for an August appearance.
