Carroll secures clash on massive World title fight card- AGAIN
It seem’s Jono Carroll doesn’t do the small hall. The Prizefighter winner hasn’t become boxing big time as of yet, but he is securing bouts on major shows.
‘King Kong’s’ last outing was a televised 10 round clash on the undercard of the massive Tyson Fury versus Wladimir Klistchko heavyweight World title fight and was proceeded by bouts in the MEN Arena and Leed’s First Direct Arena.
The 23 year old, who has only had nine fights- and three of those came in one night- admits he is still making his way in the game, but is delighted to be given chances to widen his fan base and impress on massive shows.
The Celtic Warrior Gym puncher has now been penciled in to appear on the undercard of Gary Russell Jr’s WBC featherweight title defence against Patrick Hyland.
The April 16 Foxwoods America card will be broadcast on Showtime across America and on Sky Sports in Britain and Ireland. Carroll’s opponent has yet to be confirmed, but there is talk a title maybe on the line when he makes his American debut.
