Carl Froch – Spike is domestic level, Eubank is a different class
Sky pundit and former super middleweight World champion Carl Froch is not a fan of Spike O’Sullivan, and believes that Chris Eubank Jr will win handily when the pair meet on December 12th in London.
Speaking after Eubank Jr’s easy win in Sheffield at the weekend, Froch told the Sky cameras that “I think Eubank Jr is different class to Spike O’Sullivan.”
“I don’t mind calling it, because I have sparred with him [Eubank].”
On O’Sullivan’s skills, the Nottingham man argued that “Spike is probably a domestic level fighter, he’d be happy with a British title.” –
(Former Irish champion O’Sullivan is, of course, ineligible for the British title due to being from Cork.)
Froch however was not entirely derogatory of the Leesider, admitting that “Spike is a bit of a showman himself. He means business and he bangs a bit. It’s set up for a really exciting fight.”
Never one to stay quiet in the shadows, O’Sullivan immediately responded on social media, lampooning Froch’s calamitous interview with Floyd Mayweather earlier this year.
