Caoimhin Agyarko set for BT Sports summer series step up

Caoimhin Agyarko [6(3)-0] believes he will get the chance to show he is ready for any domestic level fighter in his next fight.

The confident Belfast middleweight isn’t too far away from confirming a slot on one of Frank Warren’s BT Sport’s broadcast studio shows – and claims when his next fight is announced a decent opponent will be name will appear alongside his.

The London based operator revealed he is expecting to take on a fighter with a winning record for the first time since he turned over when he trades leather this summer.

Agyarko claims he will step up in class and take on a more experience foe.

“Can’t announce it just yet; but the news should be out very soon. Maybe next week. It’s going to be an opponent with a winning record and it’s definitely going to be a step up in experience,” A told British Boxers.

While A believes his next opponent will be an upgrade on the fighters he has faced to date, he doesn’t necessarily believe he will be tested.

‘Black Thunder’ is confident he is already top end domestic level capable.

“I’ll fight anyone at the right time. I feel I’m better than most of these domestic level fighters, especially around my age and record.”

Anthony Cacace looks set to top a bill on Warren’s BT Sports summer series while Carl Frampton and Michael Conlan will also appear.

It will be interesting to see if Warren’s two new Irish signings Jason Harty or Edward Donovan debut live on BT or if John Joyce will trade leather for a third time on one of the cards.
