Cacace stops the Scot and claims Celtic title

Anthony Cacace laid down a super featherweight marker in Scotland on Friday night.

The Cyclone Promotions prospect became the first person to stop Ronnie Clark and collected the Celtic title in the process.

Cacace sealed the impressive away win with just 9 seconds remaining, stopping the durable fighter, who previously only had two defeats on his record, in the last stanza.

Clark represented a step up in class for the Belfast puncher, but there are a host who believe the former amateur international has star quality and he proved he is ready to move to British title level by stopping a man that drew with current champion Ryan Walsh.

There has been talk of a Commonwealth tilt for the big punching stylist, but unlike Marc McCullough, who also registered victory on the Scottish card, the Shane McGuigan trained puncher has no confirmed next date.
