Cacace: I am ready to fulfill my potential
ANTHONY Cacace is ready to fulfill potential under the guidance of Shane McGuigan and the Cyclone Promotions banner.
The former Irish champion came back with a bang on the massive Titanic Showdown card on Saturday night stopping Dawid Knade in the second round of a four round contest to push his record to 9-0.
The talent prospect whose career has been frustratingly stop start since his debut is now ready to kick on, move his way up the rankings and make the most of the opportunity afforded to him by Cyclone.
“It is good to be back and great to be back with the McGuigans. I have another chance with my career and we can try and move things forward now,” Cacace said after the fight.
“There was a wee bit of ring rust there and I was a bit eager, but I will settle down in my next couple of fights and hopefully be knocking guys out that bit easier. I would never disrespect the McGuigan’s. I am loving life now and I am looking forward to progressing now.”
New coach Shane McGuigan claims there is a lot more to come from ‘Apache’ and revealed plans for three more fights before the year is out.
“We want three fights by the end of the year and he showed today he is only half way back. He has fantastic power and he just has to show it now. He has all the talent in the world. He has a bit of a bad rep but he is going places believe me.”
