Butler claims WBO World title eliminator is there for Conlan ‘if he wants it’

‘We want it they talk about it that’s the difference,’ said Paul Butler after his win in Liverpool on Saturday.

Butler claims there is a World WBO world title eliminator available to both fighters later in the year and wants Belfast’s Jamie Conlan to step in the ring with him in the Summer.

The Butler versus Conlan fight certainly looks inevitable now that ‘The Mexican’ has signed with Frank Warren promotions, however there is a suggesting that the Promoter would prefer it to be for a World title rather than an eliminator and may let it build.

Butler has recently been suggesting that the Belfast fighter and his team are not overly keen, but Conlan has been calling for the clash for a number of years now. The undefeated and likable super flyweight  got particularly frustrated when Butler stepped up to bantamweight to challenge for a World title he won and instantly vacated holding up the British title in the process.

Conlan has also constantly expressed a desire to fight and defeat the ‘lad from outside of Liverpool’.

However, speaking after his stoppage win on Saturday former IBF bantamweight champion Butler claims he is keen to fight while Team Conlan are keen to talk.
