British title eliminators for Tennyson AND Fryers in February?

Stablemates James Tennyson and James Fryers could fight in British title eliminators on February 6th.

BBBofC Celtic champion Tennyson is mandated to fight Darren Traynor before February is out in a title defence and a final British title eliminator and promoter Mark Dunlop claims he will bring that clash to the Europa Hotel early February if he wins purse bids.

“The purse bids are in for his Celtic tile defence against Darren Traynor – who is undefeated after ten fights. We will find out who won the purse bid on December 13 and we will take it from there.

“If we get it, I am running a show on February 6th at the Europa Hotel in Belfast.”

Irish fight fans were aware Tennyson was due to face the Scot in the new year but speaking to Nicky Fullerton after Tennyson and stable mate James Fryers claimed victory in Estonia last weekend Dunlop revealed that super featherweight Fryers will also hopefully compete in a British title eliminator in the Spring.

“On the night Tennyson will defend his Celtic title – if we win the purse bid – and Fryers will have a British title eliminator.

“Both these boys have the ability to go far and I want to give them that opportunity,’ he added.
