Boxing Ireland Promotions secure signature of sixth fighter
Boxing Ireland Promotions have confirmed their sixth signing as the Leonard Gunning and Stephen Sharpe-led outfit continue to rapidly expand.
The latest addition to the team is James Cahill, and the Bray light middleweight joins Eric Donovan, Sean Creagh, Ryan Peake, and fellow newcomers Aiden Metcalfe and Kieran Kenny in the Boxing Ireland stable.
The 19 year old boxes out of St Teresa’s where he is trained by Mark Buckley, father of current pro Regan.
Cahill, a top level amateur at underage level, announced his intention to turn pro earlier this year and has decided to link up with re-emerging outfit.
A tree surgeon by trade, Cahill is described as having an aggressive pro style which will chop down his opposition.
The youngster will debut on the Celtic Clash 3 card at the National Stadium on September 9th.
