Big Belfast Summer show announced!

A big new show has this evening been announced for Belfast this Summer.

Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions will return to the Waterfront Hall on Saturday June 17th for another bumper card, live on BoxNation via the BT Sport Package (for Sky platform customers).

Three Irish fighters have already been confirmed for the bill. Cliftonville flyweight Paddy Barnes [2(0)-0] will challenge for the WBO European rankings title, taking a step up in class in the process.

There is also an intriguing lightweight clash, with Clondalkin fighter Steve Ormond [24(13)-3(1)] seeking to reclaim the WBO European belt against current champ Craig Evans [16(3)-1(0)-2] of Wales. The Valleys southpaw is fresh off a trilogy with Tom Stalker, an MTK stablemate of Ormond, in which they drew two bouts and Evans won the decider.

Also on the bill, Belfast super fly Jamie Conlan [19(11)-0] will also be in action as he closes in on a world title bout. ‘The Mexican’ headlined the most recent Belfast Boxnation show, winning a trademark war against Nicaraguan Yader Cardoza.

Ticket information for this event, as well as further fighters set to feature, will be announced in the next few days.
