The Belfast crowd will bring out a career best performance in me says Burnett
Ryan Burnett is determined to grab his chance to impress on the massive Frampton versus Quigg bill with both gloves.
Burnett will face Anthony Settoul for the vacant WBC International Bantamweight title at the sold-out Manchester Arena on February 27th, live on Sky Sports Box Office.
It’s a massive opportunity for the Belfast boy to impress the hordes of home town fans who will swarm to Manchester in support of Carl Frampton as he settles his grudge with Scott Quigg in a clash that will grab the attention of the UK and indeed the boxing World.
British Champion Burnett, who faces a former EU champion that has mixed with four-weight World ruler Nonito Donaire for a title that will move him up the rankings, is determined to make a statement on the eagerly anticipated card.
In fact he is adamant fighting on such a show in front a large Irish contingent will prompt him to produce his best ever career performance.
“I cannot wait to perform in front of a sold-out crowd with so many fans coming over from Belfast,” said Burnett. “The atmosphere is going to be electric and that’s going to lift me to a career-best performance. This is a massive opportunity for me to impress on a huge occasion, and while I know Settoul will be coming over to spoil the party, there’s no way I will let him.”
