BARRY MCGUIGAN’S PROSPECT HAS SECOND PRO OUTING

Portsmouth super featherweight prospect Josh “The Punisher” Pritchard makes his second professional appearance this Saturday at the Camden Centre in London.

Twenty year-old Pritchard, 1-0, is trained by top coach Shane McGuigan and managed by boxing legend and former World Champion Barry McGuigan.

Following an impressive debut professional win on the undercard of stablemate and current IBF super bantamweight World Champion Carl Frampton in Belfast on February 28, the talented Pritchard returns to the ring this Saturday in a four-round contest against experienced Slovakian Elemir Rafael.

Manager Barry McGuigan said, “This is a great opportunity for Josh to put into practice all the hard work and improvements he has made in the gym recently. Josh Pritchard is a talented young man who we believe can go a very long way in this sport. His style is all-action and I know that the fans are going to love him.”

Pritchard said, “I can’t wait to get back in there on Saturday. Shane (McGuigan) and I have been working on so many things in the gym and I want to show the fans just how much I’ve come on since I turned professional. It’s my first pro bout in England and I will have some good support on fight night.”
