Willie Casey has secured a second come back date and will now appear on the under card of Tyson Fury’s Belfast debut in the Kings Hall on September 17.
Big Bang was gutted his scheduled September 3 Limerick homecoming was cancelled earlier this week, but a fight on the big Belfast show will more than help ease the cancellation disappointment.
The date and venue may have changed but Casey’s comeback opponent stays the same.
The Limerick super bantamweight takes on Patrick Hyland, Scott Quigg and Joe Murray’s frustrating former foe Daniel Kodjo in the historic venue.
“Willie ‘Big Bang’ Casey will now fight on the 17th of September at the King Hall Belfast on the Tyson Fury under card,” Hyde explained. “The opponent remains Daniel Kodjo and having a fight in Belfast might help raise the profile of a possible fight between Willie and the winner of Kiko Martinez and Carl Frampton’s European title fight.”
