Anthony Cacace aims to turn Ronnie ‘The Shark’ Clark into a battered cod in Scotland tonight so he can walk out of the Meadowbank Sports Centre with the BBBofC the Celtic title strapped around his waist.

The undefeated former Irish champion travels to Edinburgh and faces his toughest opponent to date, indeed a foe with title-winning aspirations of his own.

However, the Shane McGuigan trained Cacace is confident he can beat the Scot in his own patch and win a title that should open up a pathway to British and Commonwealth tilts.

“I know he can’t outbox me so all he can do is try and overwhelm me,” Cacace told the Irish-News.

“But that’s what I’ve been training for so I know I can cope with it.

“He is tough and durable but all it takes is for him to walk into one, that’s what I really believe.”
