Allan Phelan draws in America

ALLAN Phelan prolonged his unbeaten run in Queens on Saturday night, but his winning streak came to an end in the Resorts World Casino.

The Newbridge native drew with Angel Albelo moving his record to 6-2-1.

Having lost his first two fights, the American based featherweight put a run of six wins together, but had to settle for a draw after Puerto Rico native on Saturday.

One judge scored the fight 58-56 in Phelan’s favour one had it a draw at 57-57 whilst a third had it 59-55 for Albelo.
